Introduction:

Reverse recruiting is a new trend in the job market that is designed to assist job seekers in getting employment through actively marketing them to potential employers. Contrary to traditional Recruitment Services, which Agencies work for to find talent for companies,  Reverse Recruitment Agency Services reverse recruiting focuses on helping candidates get job positions. This certainly appears to be a helpful service on the face of it, but is one that I have chosen not to provide in my career consulting practice. Here’s my rationale for doing so.

The Ethical Dilemma in Reverse Recruiting

One of the main reasons I avoid ReverseRecruitment is the ethical dilemma it creates. An effective job search can assist in reclaiming control of a person’s career without leaning towards paid providers. Self-marketing, attending industry events, and using social media sites such as LinkedIn can all be done easily. Instead of engaging in ReverseRecruitment, I assist JobSeekers in identifying prospective employers by teaching them effective job searching skills, writing winning resumes, and improving LinkedIn profiles.

For some Job Seekers, Reverse Recruitment can appear as an attractive option, although from an overall career perspective, it can be damaging to longterm prospects. There are many issues ethically, in having employers already prejudge new recruits as well as provide one self with ample scope for employment- which is hardly the case with modern recruitment.
